I’d really appreciate a little help with a present for my sister, I’m looking to buy my sister a nice pair of trainers, budget up to £80. She has had a change in circumstamces so is walking more than she used to, so something comfortable, fairly plain to go with most things but nothing too chunky as she will want to wear with skinnies and is worried about them making her feet look too big, something fairly trendy for a 34 year old. What are people wearing these days? Neither of us are trainer wearers so am clueless on this. Thanks x

I wear Adidas Stan Smiths and I love them. I wear them with everything and everyone admires them.

How big are her feet? My daughter prefers Adidas Superstars which are also great and her feet are a few sizes larger than mine - but her legs are also much longer!

I would go for either white like I wear or black as these go with everything. Obviously if you are going Black do not buy Stan Smiths.

Adidas Gazelles are lovely and you could get her leather or suede in black or navy depending on what she wears.

I'm sure someone will be on with loads more hip suggestions.

For more slim fitting ones, Nike have some great ones, I wear these kind for running but I don't have a particular name for their runners.

Superga are really nice and definitely go super well with skinnies. Come in practically every colour too.

I like funky new balance ones. Lots of different colours. Dh likes ASICS tigers - I'm not allowed any as a result but I'd love some! I think the new balance are comfier and more hard wearing though.

What type of shoe does she usually wear?
I only ask as I have trainers but they are always the last pair of shoes I pick out to wear and I realised it's just because I really don't like doing up laces. I'm a slip on shoe kinda girl, so now I wear TOMS which are still incredibly comfortable.
