Nice work trousers for an apple shape

Any suggestions for nice office-y black trousers, pref straight leg, for an apple shape with good legs?

Need a pair for interview and everything I try on seems really baggy round the thighs (because I am having to buy in a 14/16 to allow for Granny Smith belly). Whilst I don't want clingy, I don't need that hareèm trousers look either!

A little 'give' or some added stretch nice but not essential. Not shiny nylon please. Willing to pay out for decent ones, as I don't envisage wearing them too often!

Apple here too, they may be too tight for you but I went for sainsburys pull on trousers. My belly is so out of proportion to my legs that button up trousers just swamp my legs and bum

Have you tried Hobbs? I’m a pear shape and their trousers never fit my waist so I assume they’re aimed at apples....

Sorry just checked they Are pull in treggings if you want to have a look

Pull ON treggings! Jeez

Seamed trousers, or just iron a seam into the front (and back obs) will streamline them?
Would you fit into a 10 as I have a pair I ordered onlined but they're US 6, not UK 6 so they're a ten *cry. They're formal grey trousers?

Justcallmelu · 07/11/2018 16:37

Not a seam. A crease. So a long lined crease ironed in on both legs at the centre of the leg front and back?

I found a pair in Wallis that had an elasticated waist at the back. This meant the legs/bum werent massive but I could still get my belly in. They were the most flattering I could find.

I have the same problem. Most comfy pair at the moment are from Tesco's - suprisingly. they are a size 12 but will elasticated back . I stuggle with size 14/16's usually so couldnt believe these. They aren't black though, brown checked ones.
I think elasticated back is the way to go for those large of tum

Boden Richmond trousers work perfectly I think
