Unexpected anti ageing/nice skin recommendation

I started drinking aloe vera juice every day a week ago in an attempt to help with my horrible IBS. It’s done precisely bugger all for that so far but a side effect of it has been beautiful, clear skin on my face. It’s sorted out any itchy, dry patches and tiny spots (although not the skin on my body, bizarrely - that’s as bad as ever) and it feels soft and smooth and looks even toned, glowy and slightly puffed out, like the fine lines have reduced. It took 5 days for this to happen. I’m pretty sure it’s the aloe vera because my facial skin has been awful for ages with no results from any products I’ve tried.

Anyway, I thought that might be handy information for anyone who wants to have a go. Shame it hasn’t sorted out my poorly tummy though.

Oh might be. Might have started to change your gut flora which might have had an impact.

Have you tried the FODMAPs diet for your ibs?

Temerity123 · 07/11/2018 23:11

Yeah trying that at the moment in conjunction with aloe vera and probiotics. Not much change yet sadly. But hey - nice skin so can’t complain.

Ooh how much are you drinking each day? Isn't it expensive? Cheaper than most face creams tho I'm sure!

About 25ml per day mixed with a small glass of water because it tastes horrible. It’s not cheap - the bottle I’ve got cost about £7 and should last me 20 days.
