Racing & restaurant outfit?

Sorry I'm being very demanding these days.

Work Christmas do is a day at the races (cold) followed by a meal in a posh pub. I don't want anything new but have no idea what sort of thing to wear to cover both venues. Does anyone have any ideas?

(Not a jumpsuit)

Where are the Races?
I'd wear a midi dress with boots, statement coat and an interesting warm hat like a beret or fedora and a silky scarf.
If you make your outerwear interesting youlll still feel dressed up and the dress with some eye catching jewellery will work for the evening.
