Hair curling wand

Has anyone got a good one of these? The tong-type things that will convert straight hair into lovely soft curls?
I quite fancy giving them a go, although I have quite thick/unruly hair so they may not work on me. For this reason I'm reluctant to spend too much.
Any suggestions please?

I've got two.

The babyliss curling wand

I have dead straight fine hair and this gives a nice curl. Starts off quite tight, but after an hour gas dropped into more of a wave that lasts all day. Best on shoulder length hair.

Then I have a larger barrelled babyliss wand which gives more of a Victoria's secret model hair. Works best on longer hair - say bra strap length.

I have a babyliss too. But i dont know the model. It has a black handle and copper tong. I wind more hair around it to get a looser curl.

I've got a ghd creative curl wand. I love it! I've tried others but found them hard work and worse results. I watched a few YouTube tutorials and have used the wand two or three times a week for the last few months. I have thick fairly straight hair naturally.

Thanks for the suggestions. I might give one of the Babyliss ones a go, they're not too expensive and reviews seem pretty good.
