I'm 42 and cannot blow dry my hair.
Never a problem before but recently I had a graduated bob cut into my coloured hair & my previous technique of washing it & leaving it to air dry doesn't work now :) :)
I've bought a Babyliss Big Hair so I look OK on a day to day basis but I'm lacking the basics. Any ideas to the following & any tips to share?

do I use a heat protector before I dry with the Babyliss, I'm currently putting mousse in first, is this OK by itself or do I need separate heat protection?

I've bought some Maui hair oil, the instructions say to spray on then blow dry to seal into the hair. So do I oil then mousse, or mousse then oil or what :)

if I curl it, should I have all the curls facing the same way then the opposite way on the other side or do I mix it up?
