has anyone got any idea where i can get a winter coat for my dd (15)? She has specified that it has to be one of the puffy ones, but doesn't want to look like a marshmallow. saw a red one that she liked in h and m, but her close friend has the same one and she doesn't want to match.

thank you in advance x

forgot to say that she would prefer no fur on the hood, but it's fine if the fur is detachable

DD found one she loved in sports direct.

DD has just got one of the adult ones from TU online - sizing is on the smaller side, masses of fluff on hood which makes it look like an eskimo - she loves that but is detachable and rest of coat is padded but thin. £45.

Primark have a lightweight one just now. It’s lovely It’s in red & black. Has hood. No fur. £18 from memory.

This might be out of price range but Superdry has an outlet on eBay. You might get lucky there. Alternatively just ordered one from Next for my slightly younger DD. Uniqlo also do those types of coats.

Perch · 03/11/2018 15:31

Uniqlo have lovely coats in lots of colours

LIZS · 03/11/2018 15:31

DP have decent ones, often 20% off

VenelopeVonSweetz · 03/11/2018 15:32

What’s your budget?

I have been looking for myself but the ones I like are ridiculous money

sleepismysuperpower1 · 03/11/2018 15:36

thank you so much for all your replies. I will check out the places mentioned above. budget is up to £100, because it will hopefully last her a few years (i don't think she is going to grow much more)

DD(16) got one from TopShop last year (in the Black Friday sale) that she's worn loads.

Now she's ventured into Urban Outfitters territory (don't even go there) Grin
