Not the first time I'm asking for the wisdom of you Style and Beauty posters, but I am so utterly clueless I need a few pointers in the right direction.

The most I usually do for skincare is a supermarket facial scrub and (because it was massively reduced in Boundary Mills!) a Cougar "cleansing cream", sometimes followed by a serum that I have absolutely no idea is for!

Can anyone point me in the right direction with what types of products I should use/any recommendations?
I'm 29 with oily skin, quite large pores on my nose and get the occasional spot (more common after DD2) and a few blackheads on cheeks and forehead. I also have a few little "lumps" on my forehead. I say lumps but they're not really, they're more like blackhead size but not blackheads. There's no head and they can't be squashed, they're kind of just there

I also have a modest budget now I'm on unpaid maternity leave so any budget options are very gratefully received

Thank you!

Cerave and The Ordinary do good products on a budget. There's a lady I like on YouTube called Pampered Wolf who does excellent reviews and gives good advice - I've bought something she recommended and it was perfect so I trust her now.

Paula's Choice 2% BHA gel is amazing. It changed my skin completely.

Sounds like you need a product that has BHA in, great for enlarged pores and helping with blackheads as the acid can get inside the pores ( AHAs can't do this.)
The Ordinary have a BHA serum/liquid, the Paula's Choice one is also very good.
It'll be a couple of weeks before you see an improvement, so stick with it.

Brilliant, thank you all! I don't even know the difference between AHA and BHA so I'll head to YouTube and start doing some research!
