Face wash/spot treatment for 8 year old?

DS is 8 and gets whiteheads on his nose - I can squeeze a lot of sebum out of them. Can anyone recommend a face wash or something he can use that will keep them at bay but not be too harsh?

I'm 37. My skin is still like this, I have tried everything over the years.
I've settled on soap as the best option, but nothing really gets rid. If he's lucky it'll be hormonal and stop.
Exfoliating, and salicylic acid are meant to help but don't seem to.
Moisturiser wise the soap and glory pore one is reasonable and not very girly.

Should add, sainsbo tea tree soap (50p, lasts 6 months or so) is good at stopping it turning into actual spots.

Are you sure their not sebaceous filaments?

Fluffy, what is a sebaceous filament?

OK, I’ve googled and I don’t really know. They’re always white, never black or grey, and are definite bumps under his skin. Loads of sebum comes out if they’re squeezed (I don’t do this often as I know it’s not good but sometimes he has a massive one!) He only gets them on his nose.
