Are Primark trainers any good?

My Skechers have bitten the dust in that they have worn smooth and there is no tread left on the soles. Miney is a bit tight this month and I can't really afford to go and buy expensive trainers (not even £40 ones from TK Maxx etc)! I have been thinking about Primarni but have never bought shoes from there and wondered if anyone could tell me what their trainers are like?

Not for running or sports but just for walking aroud, to and from the shops etc. Do they have support? Are they true to size? What is the foot cushioning like? Thanks :)

Nope. They generally last about a month max for me, the bottom detaches itself, holes everywhere and generally just really bad quality. Maybe try another shop like pull and bear? Their shoes have been ok for me. Also maybe everything5pounds?

Why not look at sports ditect? They have walking shoes that are often on sale (like karrimor) and if your feet are size 6 or smaller then the kids ones will fit (not all pink and sparkly!).

I've had some like this - I am really heavy on shoes - and they have lasted fine.

I think they’re a bit of a false economy tbh. Plus they make your feet quite smelly.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 31/10/2018 09:13

Deichmann or ccc.

MrsJayy · 31/10/2018 09:14

Go to sports direct if you have 1 near you you will find a pair of trainers for £15. Primark trainers me a holiday in spain I binned them before I came home

MrsJayy · 31/10/2018 09:16

Yes the junior sizes in sports direct go up to a 5/6

LoniceraJaponica · 31/10/2018 09:19

You lot must be very heavy on your feet. DD has some Primark trainers that have lasted for about a year, and are still going strong.

I have never worn out a pair of Sketchers either. Mine last for years.

MrsJayy · 31/10/2018 09:26

The trainers i bought the soles came away ,

florabel · 31/10/2018 09:54

Thanks everyone - that is a very definite no for Primark then. Yes, I do an awful lot of walking to try to do a bit for fitness but also to save bus fares. Will definitely check out Deichman as there is one near me and also will pop into Sports Direct (even though I hate the way they treat their workers!). These things always happen when money is tight...sigh...

I have a pair of memory foam primary trainers for work... almost a year and still going strong (and they haven’t made my feet smell yet)
They cost me £10 and normally my work shoes last me a max of four or five months! Though I did put a scholl insole in which now needs replacing

Crackers1288 · 31/10/2018 09:58

*primark trainers

Auldspinster · 31/10/2018 10:15

I've got the Primark memory foam black slip ons and they're fine.

Just a bit of feedback - I found a pair of CRIVIT (Lidl) ladies running shoes on ebay for £8 and they are great. Very comfortable and supportive. Thanks for everyone's feedback and ideas Flowers
