Miceller lorel seems the best so far but I think there must be a better one out there

DHC oil cleanser
I've got oily skin and I'd never go back to a 'foaming' one.

ijustwantasofa · 31/10/2018 00:00

Or any oil-based one. Bodyshop do a cheaper one.

OHolyNightOwl · 31/10/2018 00:11

Garnier Micellar Gel Face Wash for sensitive skin is lovely, super effective and costs 3 quid.

redwinewhitewinegin · 31/10/2018 00:25

I recently came across a very cheap Wilko one and it's rather good and only a couple of quid.

LMDC · 31/10/2018 00:36

Have you got a good moisturiser? I find that moisturising instantly gets rid of that tight feeling after washing my face. I use the Clinique Moisture Surge moisturiser.

Sitranced · 31/10/2018 07:00

Biore charcoal gel cleanser. Not drying at all.

LaLaLolly · 31/10/2018 07:48

I second DHC oil, amazing and it has the added benefit of melting any make up off with zero scrubbing.

I have very very dry skin and use DHC followed by the DHC facial soap.

goose1964 · 31/10/2018 07:52

Bee good honey and propolis, unless your skin is very dry, I have dry skin and it's normally fine. But there is the odd day when my skin is drier than usual and then it feels very slightly tight

brogueish · 31/10/2018 07:58

Oil cleansers are drying ime.

Ren rosa centrifolia cleansing gel is lovely in the morning but rubbish at removing makeup.
I like avene cleanance gel, which doesn't dry my skin despite being aimed at oily skin, and removes makeup well. Not wp mascara though.

SuzeD29 · 31/10/2018 08:11

I've given up with facial washes and just oil cleanse now usually with vitamin e oil and wipe off with a hot muslin cloth. Don't get that tight feeling anymore but still moisturise after

SuperstarDJ · 31/10/2018 09:08

I like the DHC pure cleansing oil but it’s more of a pre-cleanser/double cleanse imo. My skin does feel a bit tight and too ‘squeaky’ if I follow up with the DHC Pore cleanser.

Dermalogica is my favourite. This one:

I buy the 500ml size and it lasts the best part of a yr despite using it daily. I then use this micellar to get rid of the last bits of eye-makeup etc

Glossier milky jelly cleanser. Non foaming wash off cleanser. Love it.

Spudlet · 31/10/2018 09:11

I like Simple - in the evenings I use their moisturising face wash with a hot flannel, followed with their micellar water and then the rich moisturiser. I have quite spot-prone skin that also manages to get quite dry, but that seems to be a pretty successful combination for me.

ShotsFired · 31/10/2018 09:13

I was going to suggest Almond oil along the same lines as Suze's suggestion of Vit E oil.

CantChoose · 31/10/2018 09:21

Elemis, I can't think what it's called, possibly sensitive wash. It's orange coloured and smells like almonds. Really gentle but effective.

BagelGoesWalking · 31/10/2018 10:26

I like Pai Rose and Camellia cleanser. Very gentle but effective. Or Avène Extremely Gentle Cleanser.

newdocket · 31/10/2018 10:58

I am using a Khiels one at the moment, it's the only facewash I've ever used that doesn't leave me with that horrible stretched skin thing.

MrsRubyMonday · 31/10/2018 11:31

Either Simple or the Biore Charcoal gel mentioned by PP. I alternate between them

MinesaPinot · 31/10/2018 13:40

I've just started using the Superdrug Pure facial wash and am really liking it. In the evening I use micellar water first, then the facial wash and follow with Garnier rose toner, then moisturise. In the morning it's wash, toner and moisturise.

Early days yet, but so far so good.

pangolina · 31/10/2018 23:07

Good old Nivea. I've used it since I was 16.

wowfudge · 01/11/2018 03:41

Second vote for Simple - lasts for ages too.

MrsMariaPolouvicka · 01/11/2018 07:24

It's the soap that makes your face feel tight. Simple face washes (I use the foaming gel) is soap free and washes everything off including make up perfectly.

snowgal · 01/11/2018 10:31

I tend to oil cleanse more than anything but I use this if I feel my face needs a really good clean. I never get a tight feeling from it, it seems to be very gentle
