Hi, can anyone recommend a moisturiser for my very dry, sensitive skin?
I use Nivea day and night creams but in this weather I need something more intensive. And not too expensive please.

Aveeno works wonders for me. My skin is dry as the result of a scalding.

curlyrebel · 30/10/2018 18:22

Thanks @FairfaxAikman which of their products do you use on your face?

Cetaphil

FairfaxAikman · 30/10/2018 18:27

Just the standard green one

Eucerin 5% urea cream mixed with a drop of grape seed oil.
Onto very slightly damp skin.

Thank you! Trying out Aveeno...

Weleda Skin Food - 'tis nothing short of a miracle.

I also have very dry, sensitive skin, and have found the only thing that works for me is clarins Sad it's too ££££

I find useing an oil before moistureiser is the only way to avoid sore very dry skin, just a few drops of rosehip oil works wonders for me, since I’ve been useing the oil I get loads of complements on my skin (and I’m an old bird🤣)

I second using a oil on damp skin before any moisturizer. I am liking pai rose hip oil.

My beautician friend said weleda one has alcohol and can be drying and suggested neals yard moisturizers if you wanted natural skincare.

Cerave, the one in the tub.

Aveeno. Colloidal oatmeal has some proper science behind it.

bassackwards · 06/11/2018 17:18

I have very dry sensitive skin and have started using the Aveeno body lotion on my whole body including face! It's very gentle.

stayfit · 06/11/2018 17:22

@Perch thanks just googled oats and it seems to be really good. Which aveeno would you recommend?

Mouthfulofquiz · 06/11/2018 17:30

I use Avène (not aveeno) and it’s very good for me. My skin is sensitive and dry if I let it!

Perch · 06/11/2018 17:35

OP we use the lotion in a tube. Costco is cheapest by far for the 3-pack, otherwise alternate between amazon and ebay. Cheapest to buy the triple packs but always shop around.

curlyrebel · 06/11/2018 17:48

I bought some Aveeno from Boots and it wasn't cheap! But seems to be good and will hopefully last a while.

I think I need to carry moisturiser around with me as any moisturiser I apply in the morning doesn't seem to last with the central heating and weather!

I'll have a look for Rosehip or Grape seed oil too. Thanks.
