Going on holiday to the US next week.

What fashion/clothing buys should I look out for, that I can't get here or are much cheaper there?

West coast.

I'm a Yank, so I don't really know what is cheaper here, but if you have specific shopping or retailer related questions I'll try to answer them.

A lot of where you shop depends on what you're looking for - for high end clothes try department stores like Nieman Marcus or Bloomingdales. For bargains go to Target or TJ Max.

Where on the west coast will you be?

I'm in the US regularly and with the exchange rate being what it is and the rise of internet shopping there isn't much I need to buy there anymore. Everyone seems to like Sephora and unless you really buy a lot it should be easy to fit in a suitcase.

I like vintage shopping there because larger sizes are more readily available. I buy clothes at Target because I'm long-waisted and the trousers and shirts fit me really well. I sometimes do a Gap order because the discount codes are often better. If I was just going on holiday I probably wouldn't bother with any of that though.

Oh, and Mucinex tablets for coughs/colds.:)

Sephora is really good here. Not cheap but great quality and selection.

San Francisco, mainly
