I am in desperate need of new make up (everything except foundation and lipstick is running out). However I have very little money to spend. I need a blusher, eye shadow, mascara and eyeliner. I tend to go for neutral colours. I need long lasting but cheap.
So what would you suggest? Going shopping on Thursday.

Superdrug's B. range is very good and 3 for 2 at the moment. The skincare and brushes in this range also really good.

Pamelaaa · 30/10/2018 17:28

Thanks. I haven't looked at that range before so will do.

Essence from Wilko does a few great items, all £3 or under:
Pure nude highlighter
Make me brow mascara
Lash Princess mascara

Rimmel does great lipsticks and basic eyeshadow with super staying power.

Primark have some great stuff. Revolution in Superdrug also v good.

inneedofchocolate · 30/10/2018 18:58

Lash surge mascara from collection 2000. £4 and better than most expensive ones.

LikeSilver · 30/10/2018 19:06

My favourite ever mascara is Max Factor 2000 Calories. I think it’s £5.99? I try the high end ones and always go back to it.

I also really like the Maybelline brow mascara and The Body Shop’s sorbet blush and lip/cheek tints.

I’m useless at eyeshadow so can’t help there Blush

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 30/10/2018 19:11

Make up revolution are cheap and do good basics, im sure it’s on 3 for 2 in Superdrug too

Anchovies12 · 30/10/2018 19:17

Agree with MUR for eyeshadow and blushes. I bought my dd some palettes and they're better than a lot of my high end ones.

usernamenamename · 30/10/2018 19:29

Primark make up is amazing for the price. I've got a Bobbi Brown blusher but never use it as prefer the primark one!

Bubba1234 · 30/10/2018 19:30

Essence is just fab it’s onr of my favorites for eyeshadow lasts ages and I prefer over some of the urban decay

emma6776 · 30/10/2018 21:02

Barry M makeup. In particular the waterproof eyeliner pencils, kohl and setting sprays (the dewy one beats my Mac one hands down). Also love the liquid eyeshadows - the colours are beautiful and blend perfectly. I know you didn’t ask about nail polish but I’d check those out - wet set top coat is fab!

LellyMcKelly · 30/10/2018 22:11

Primark and Wilkos both do great budget makeup.

TillyVonMilly · 30/10/2018 22:48

MUA from Superdrug, I’ve got two eyeshadow palettes and a cream blush. The eyeshadow was recommended on her ages ago and they’re pretty good and cheap too.

PersonaNonGarter · 30/10/2018 22:51

Bourjois for eye and cheek.

Pamelaaa · 31/10/2018 15:30

Thank you. Some great recommendations I will use tomorrow. I had no idea that Primark did make up.

Primark lippy at 90p is brilliant.

Bubba1234 · 01/11/2018 19:19

Yes the Penney’s strobe highlighters are great

Avegemitesandwich · 01/11/2018 19:23

Make Up Revolution in Superdrug is awesome for eyeshadow palettes. Crazy cheap and great quality and a huge range. They also do dupes of famous high end palettes which are almost identical.

I bought a primark foundation the other week for £2.50 and its amazing!

confusedmomm · 01/11/2018 19:32

Not exactly makeup but Vit C & Hyaluronic acid from The oRdinary £5 is amazing

SinisterBumFacedCat · 01/11/2018 19:33

Boots natural collection Definition Mascara is good for about £3

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 01/11/2018 20:11

NYX for eyeliner. Their liquid liner is bloody brilliant.

Bourjois little pots of blusher are fantastic and I think better than NARS.

Boots have got a 3 for 2 on at the moment including both brands.

DeltaG · 01/11/2018 20:41

W7 and Barry M are my favourite cheap brands.

PiggeryPorcombe · 01/11/2018 21:03

Boots Natural Collection is pretty much all I use. The long lasting foundation is amazing and really improved my self-esteem Blush

Iamneverfull · 01/11/2018 21:13

Kiko or nyx

hettie · 02/11/2018 07:22

NYX for eyeliner and shadow, borjois for blush and Mac factor for mascara and their liquid under eye concealer (age something or other)
