Long hair knotting

Hello,
I have grown my wavy hair to bra length and am having major problems with knots and mats.

I’ve started plaiting it to sleep in but I think I might need to use a leave in conditioner too.

Any recommendations for a non-expensive leave in conditioner that will help my hair?

A silk pillowcase stops that!

I use the Aussie leave in conditioner and find that helps. I get bad matting at the nape of my neck.

Aussie 3 miracle oil is the only thing that stops my daughters hair from turning into a matted nightmare.

It’s now more batting during the day which is an issue.
