Sexy but warm nightwear.

If that isn't a contradiction!
I freeze at night, have to wear socks, have electric blanket etc.
I've got a new bf and I want to update my usual jogger bottoms and long sleeve T-shirt as they are ancient, I'd like to get sexier, but won't be able to sleep unless I'm pretty covered (I have a 13 tog down duvet and a warm house, so it's not that my environment is cold) it just how I'm made, if I'm not moving around I get cold.
Anyone got any ideas?

I've got some DKNY PJs (not these but similar) which are pretty warm & also look good. They're fairly trad pjs, but cut nicely and in a soft fabric which drapes really well. They weren't cheap though! (though rather less than the linked ones as I got them in the ASOS sale I think it was)

I got some soft brushed cotton tartan PJs by Monki at the same time, which are apparantly very soft and nice to stroke Wink

You can work up a lot of heat, skin to skin

sizzledrizz · 29/10/2018 19:18

But to answer the question properly, sill is warm and tactile

Silk

I wear hotpant type shorts and my partners top to bed. I'm a very nesh person but once I'm in bed I'm warm enough in just these

Sorry but I can't see how long nightwear can be sexy! Unless you bought some tight fitted legging type pj bottoms, DP likes these on me because he can see the shape of my bum but I still wouldn't consider it sexy. Its all personal preference though!

I think that real sexy is trying not to be too sexy -oversized men’s shirts to bed or shorts and a big t shirt. Tartan PJ bottoms that are loose with skinnier t shirt. Tousled hair and a smidge of lippy that is smudged. Textures like silk or wool.

I love Victoria secret sleepwear, think silk dressing gowns (long/short, with long/cropped sleeves), silk shorts/trousers and pj top sets, silk playsuits etc.

You could also try silk teddies layered with a dressing gown. I have a fabulous burgundy/dark red velvet dressing gown/robe which is very warm and sexy, i actually wear it whilst I’m sleeping for extra warmth. Also looks nice just on top of a t shirt.

Cute velvet shorts etc.

H&M have some nice silk pj sets. TOPSHOP have a stunning pink striped silk shirts/shorts combo

Even socks can look cute as long as they aren’t tatty, worn out, discoloured, bobbled etc. So buy some new pairs. You can also layer 2 pairs for additional warmth. I find once my feet are comfortably warm, I just fall asleep instantly, but if they’re freezing then I cannot sleep.

To be honest, I can fall asleep quite easily and I tend to sleep practically naked so not sure how much help that is! I feel uncomfortable in full pjs.

You can also adjust your bedding - faux fur blanket for example for warmth and weight.

As alluded to by a PP, if you've got a new bf, surely you won't be wearing any pyjamas? Wink

IMHO, sexiness is all about the person inside the PJs. If your partner is really into you and appreciates you for yourself he should find you sexy whether you're swaddled in a 20-tog winceyette nighty or one of Victoria's Secrets sheerest items of lingerie.

Try Oysho, they have a nice selection of bed and leisure wear and most of it at affordable prices. Some lovely stuff.

SnugglySnerd · 31/10/2018 16:43

Do not buy fleece pj's. I bought some week as I'm up a lot in the night with toddlers who don't sleep well. DH said I look like a polar bear! Grin
