Elvis & Kresse

Further to my other thread, I'm really tempted by an Elvis and Kresse bag. Liking the look of the reporter or the post bag with a long strap to wear cross body.

Just looking for experiences of these bags? Do they wear well? Look good? Smell funny? And is the black writing very noticeable?

Absolutely wear well - and, should anything go wrong, the company offer free lifetime repair I believe

I've also heard that they'll make straps to your specified length/width and if they update something, say by adding additional straps, they'll provide one on request

There is a smell (kinda like smoky bacon!) - I was very conscious of it at first when I was wearing the bag in a queue, or had it under my desk in the office but no-one else can smell it!

I don't notice it now and it adds to its history of being in service for 30yrs, which I really like

The writing on my tote is only on one side, and down 2 strips, so I can choose to show it or not

They will send out sample pieces of you email them but I found the whole bag is more supple than the small sample suggests

Hey, we have a few products from E&K and I can 100% recommend them. Super hard wearing, practical and look good. We buy them because they are a good alternative to leather items, which we don’t use (vegan) and also because they are upcycled/better for the environment.

I have the handbag and the small purse and absolutely love them .
I think I have had the handbag 5 or 6 years and use it every day . It is beginning to wear a little but is still much admired .
My local Dr has the travelling bag as a doctors bag . We both have impeccable taste !

How are the E&K bags doing? I’m tempted by the tote for use for work.

My Tote is now 8 years old, it still looks great. The smell has faded over the years and I miss it now.

I’d really like the new style tote, but difficult when my “old” one is still going strong.
