Looking for recommendations for solid shampoos and soaps

I want to change to using soaps and solid shampoos to be more eco friendly and also to reduce parabens and other additives. I also need to save money so am hoping they will not cost more than what I currently use.

I am looking for some help with what ones to try. I am looking for a body soap for showering, a facial soap and a shampoo soap. Oh and do you get conditioner bars too?

My face has oily skin that still gets spots, but I am over 50 so it can't be too harsh.

My scalp is greasy and I wash my hair every other day, but it is dyed so the ends need conditioned.

I like most fresh natural smells, but cannot stand patchouli and heavy musks.

Any suggestions?

Look up Wild Sage & Co. I use their shampoo bar and they’re now producing a conditioner I think. Tiny company, really lovely, also on Facebook. Wouldn’t touch Lush with a 10 foot barge pole and people always seem to suggest it; the smell make my chest all tight and wheezy, absolutely disgusting.

They also make their own soap.

I use African black soap for my face - just whatever brand pops up on amazon - and that seems nice. I’m prone to both hormonal acne and horribly dry skin and it doesn’t seem to trigger either.

Simple bar soap on my body (because I was told to use it pre op and DH panic bought 8 bars of the stuff when I asked him to pick some up for me).

Interested in hearing about shampoo and conditioner

Faith in Nature make lovely, naturally scented soaps

Thank you for the replies. I've ordered the shampoo from wild sage, the African black for my face from amazon and a faith in nature soap too! Feel sorted now!

I have a few Lush ones that were given to me. I am not going to use them (because I don't use shampoo at all) and would be happy to send them to you if you DM me your address. Would be happy knowing they're not going to waste.

I have some Natura Siberica black soap (its in a plastic jar , with a sponge -one that dries hard so doesn't get manky-) it stays in good condition unlike bar soaps. Its £12 so a hefty outlay but lasting well.

For body , I use some cheapie white Sainsbury or Waitrose soap on my armpits (and showergel on the rest) there was a huge long thread in the Summer about switching to soap, I thought "Give it a try"

I've tried Lush shampoo bars but I really didn't like it , maybe it was my application, I think I was too heavy handed ?

I've bought soap and solid shampoo from here:

allnaturalsoap.co.uk/

Solid shampoo was great, only needed to touch it to your hair.

The soaps are absolutely lovely. Everything is palm oil, SLS and paraben free and comes in cardboard packaging.

I was put off the Lush versions as they still had SLS in.

Ooooo. Getting excited now! Will try those ones next! Thanks for replying.
