Help! Looking for suggestions for wedding shoes. I feel I've exhausted every shoe shop I can think of. Ideally I'd like pink or gold. Any boutique shoe shops?

I got mine from a dance shop. If they're satin they can be easily dyed (there's a fab shop in Amsterdam that does it which I realise isn't a help!).

I've tried the ?rainbow ones. I just would like something a little different. Maybe from an independent shop but I've exhausted google!

I second the irregular choice suggestion. They have a bridal range. Wish I'd have known that when I got married!

Beachbaby1 · 27/10/2018 19:53

I got my rose gold wedding shoes from TK Maxx.

Thebluedog · 27/10/2018 19:55

I actually bought mine from the same place I got my dres from. Not massively lovely but they were comfortable and I changed into slipper for the evening so anyway Grin

Irregular choice again! My daughter got married in IC shoes - here they are on her own lovely feet!

Rachel Simpson has a metallics collection, including a pair of pink t bars with gold trim. Some very pretty options there. I was looking at getting a blue pair before I added up how much everything else was costing

FadedRed · 27/10/2018 20:10

Have you looked at Ruby Shoos?

toweldramas · 27/10/2018 20:12

I second Rachel Simpson and they are so comfy too.

Spankyoumuchly · 27/10/2018 20:19

Practicallyperfectmummy, I was going to suggest Irregular Choice.
My wedding shoes came from there. They have glittery pink roses on them.

Spankyoumuchly · 27/10/2018 20:42

Well, I've been hankering rather obsessively over the Bloomchester boots on the Irregular Choice website. To my horror they've been discontinued and none left in my size. Anyway panic over Amazon had them in my size and reduced! I've got my Christmas present. I wouldn't have known if it hadn't been for this thread!

ayedidye · 27/10/2018 21:00

Thanks everyone, I love irregular choice shoes but they just don't work on my feet. Gutted as they are great.

You are all so right about Rachel Simpson. That's exactly my style and I currently have be most amazing shoe boots that I bought for my wedding but just don't think they will work. They don't do free returns and it's cost me £22 already to send shoes back as I bought in a few sizes.

I need Rachel Simpson shoes slightly cheaper and with free returns if they don't fit 😂😂

Style wise I think something with a strap as I tend to fall out of shoes. Not sky scraper but not kitten heel.
Preferably comfy but I already think I'm asking too much so will take uncomfy if needs be!

ayedidye · 27/10/2018 21:32

@toweldramas I like them! Maybe too gold though but a good option to have.
I'm quite hard to please in case you hadn't guessed.

I wish I had known about irregular choice for my wedding I love them. Rachel Simpson are gorgeous just been totally caught up browsing the shoes. Good look finding your perfect shoes op

ayedidye · 27/10/2018 21:38

I really wish I could wear irregular choice. Might give them another go but I've never been able to walk in them.

GraceMarks · 27/10/2018 21:53

Funnily enough, the only heeled shoes that I was ever able to walk in were an Irregular Choice pair that I got about 15 years ago. But they aren't as high as the ones they seem to make now and had a softer sole.

Not sure what your budget is but have you thought about scouring eBay for Vivienne Westwood's Anglophile or Melissa ranges? Some really gorgeous creations. I love the ones with little wings on!

ayedidye · 27/10/2018 21:54

I have consider eBay @GraceMarks but I'd be concerned in case they didn't fit.

sollyfromsurrey · 27/10/2018 22:11

I must be in the minority here. I think Irregular Choice shoes are beyond hideous. All bulgy and lumpen looking round toes. They look like something a Tim Burton character would wear.

GraceMarks · 27/10/2018 22:30

I meant Anglomania obvs, stupid autocorrect. Yes, I know what you mean about buying online, I prefer to try things on, but could you go out to the shops and try on some of the brands that you like to get an idea of size and then see if you can get them cheaper online?

solly they didn't used to be like that. The pair I have is a plain metallic green with a square toe, and they're quite narrow. No weird Burtonesque details. I do think they've become rather cartoony of late.
