No7 compact foundation- calico alternative!

Please help!

No7 have discontinued my shade of their compact stay perfect foundation. After years of Estee Lauder/Charlotte Tilbury etc. I had finally found a foundation that sits well on my skin, doesn't flake, matches my (very pale!) skin tone and LASTED. 'Twas the holy grail! And wouldn't you know it, the bastards have discontinued it just as I've run out.

They sold me an Elizabeth Arden in vanilla shell (twice the price of the no7 ) and it looks orange on my skin, despite the colour match done in store.

I need help. Please tell me there's a foundation that's a similar texture (not a liquid one) and shade. I am gutted!

Have a look at the sleek brand in superdrug. They have a good range of shades in a nice creamy base.

Jane Iredale powder in ivory or light beige. It doesn't oxidize and costs about £25

Have you tried Calico in any of the other formulations?

There’s one on eBay but it’s £31 as postage is £10! Maybe keep checking there and the discount makeup sites.

Why do companies do this?! There can't be so few pale people as to make the shade unprofitable!

frugal they have a weird new one which is a cushion full of liquid foundation. Struck me as gimmicky but also I think they've changed the colour calico for the liquid foundation too. Estee Lauder did the same thing with double wear ecru. It suddenly became really dark on my skin. Why keep the name if the product is completely different?

I'll keep checking ebay too. Amazon is all sold out. I never do this but I might even contact No7. I'm not usually a "write to the company" sort of person but it's my foundation!

robindeer I hope they haven't changed the colour as I wear it too! I use the Stay Perfect liquid foundation......I will have to go in and have a look. I agree how annoying it is when they muck about with shades, the body shop did the same which is how I found no7

Let me know Frugal as I may have to cave and go back to liquids if the other suggestions don't work out. Kicking myself for not stocking up on such a perfect product.
