Any new exciting advent calendars?

Feel bored with them. Have had M&S, look fantastic, Liberty & the wonderful space nk ones before that used to be 'free' but not any more.

I want one this year but nothing floating my boat so want to see if there's any I'm not aware of. Atm, it's either nothing or jo loves at £250. I'd like something good but not spending so much if there's anything out there...

I wasnt buying any, nope was using the money for make up i wanted. So far i have 3 beauty advents 😞 ive got the cheap bodyshop one, the decleor so i can see what i want to buy in larger sizes and glossybox which has a good variety of products to try.

Loved the rituals ones and loccitane ones but now i buy full size of what i like

buckeejit · 26/10/2018 13:12

I had decleor last year too & it was really nice but still have loads of the bits to use. Looking like I will splash on jo loves. I love beautiful smelling things but not necessarily perfume-I have too much of everything & need to use up my stock!

I've got Glossybox so far. It's huge and heavy. Going to get M&S too.

EraOfTheGrey · 26/10/2018 13:38

I really like the look of the John Lewis one. Looks like a front runner for me.

itsbritneybiatches · 26/10/2018 13:51

I've just been in Superdrug and they had a massive and I mean massive one by the till.

It was for make up and it was 24
Full size products.

Sorry, can't remember the brand but it was a well known one!

I didn't see the price either.

Actually I'm no help at all am I 🤦🏽‍♀️ I just stood there amazed at how huge it was.

itsbritneybiatches · 26/10/2018 15:04

It's this one!

Cowshed one looks really nice, would love that.

buckeejit · 26/10/2018 22:16

JL looks good but I've tried/got most of the stuff.

Espa has joined the running, may make do with look fantastic which has been pretty good the last couple of years & has some fun stuff.

Not beauty related so probably a useless suggestion but T2 (a tea company, maybe an Australian company?) have one. I’m getting it! These advent calendars are a great ploy aren’t they. I can imagine I’m going to have lots of yummy teas I have to buy after sampling 24 different flavours!

SparklingSaskia · 27/10/2018 02:50

If all fails, there is Gin:

NewtScamandersNiffler · 27/10/2018 12:57

Does Bonne Maman fit with the ‘style’ part? Anyway, I’ve bought their advent calendar with 24 miniature jars of jam and temptation is been shoved to the back of the cupboard.

NewtScamandersNiffler · 27/10/2018 13:07

‘is been’, has been.

Thanks iPad. Oh, and it autocorrected that too.

buckeejit · 27/10/2018 15:17

Gin is good but I really don't need encouragement to drink everyday! The bonne maman one is so cute - sadly only in Costco & we don't have it in NI. I may get the tea one for mil's birthday though-thanks!

I don't really want anything for Christmas & do enjoy the advent opening. Dh says I should go without but I might have to stamp my feet & cry. To get the jo loves one. Either that or suck it up with a cheaper one.

Can I say I bought the Bonne Maman one from an online monolith known for selling books?

(And it’s cheaper at Costco, but I’m not a member).

buckeejit · 27/10/2018 19:24

Ooh-sorry being dense, where did you buy it & how much? Seems to be £33 on eBay

Aha! Thanks 🙂

Feel Unique?

babydreamer1 · 28/10/2018 11:02

I'm having white company, it looks lovely. DP has ordered and hidden at PIL so I can't snoop beforehand. I had loccitane last year and it was lovely.

BewareOfDragons · 28/10/2018 11:11

I'm getting the Boots No 7 Calendar and Lumene Calendars for my upcoming birthday, and I bought the Decleor for myself. All about skin care for me... They all look really lovely.

Cowshed and M&S look nice, too...

buckeejit · 28/10/2018 16:49

Feel unique looks quite good. White company was in the running but sold out, (& pretty sure verveine is my fave smell from there).

M&S seems almost exactly the same as the last 2 years. Might do a toss up later between the shortlist.

Aldi do one for £50. Obviously it doesn't have branded items inside but it looks pretty good. Lots of candles and perfumes.

buckeejit · 28/10/2018 17:24

Now I've gone & ordered the latest in beauty one. 😁 still want jo loves though! 😬
