Just wondering, what do the general public think of piercings. Ranging from just a single ear or nose..or multiple. What do you think it says of a personveho chooses to have these..?

Oh no sorry it really isn't. I'm genuinely interested in how people perceive Piercings!! Honestly. As I have a few and I'm older, I'm actually wondering if I'm being ignored on the school run because of it.

What do you actually have pierced and which age bracket exactly? Where are you? rural village somewhere or big city?

Round my area many are ignored on the school run and they dont have piercings beyond one in each earlobe (for women). it's often body language, business or they are too shy to initiate. Could you try saying hello and smiling? will they ignore you then?

Never been ignored on the school run but then I'm a noisy fucker hard to ignore...
I dress fairly conservatively and normally have simple makeup and long hair in a messy bun. I don't know if that makes a difference?
Apparently I look like a teacher/social worker/support worker as often get mistaken for one 😂

I have 5 earpiercings and don’t have issues with the school- not even the one where I’m part of the SLT! (Mind you the assistant head has a nose piercing so I’m not alone.)

I’m a fairly conservative dresser, so I think the piercings come as a bit if a surprise when parents notice them in meetings. My class don’t really say anything. Sometimes, towards the end of the year- when they feel brave, someone will ask if getting my daith pierced hurt.

I understand what you mean OP. I have ears pierced several times which is quite popular now and also a nose ring. I feel I get a double take when they see this. Or maybe it's my self confidence as when I see others with this I think it looks nice?
