How do you apply blusher without looking like aunt sally but still getting that flushed glow?! Guess I’m just too used to smiling then going mad with the brush on my apples!!!

Start closer to the middle of your cheek, like under the middle or outside corner of your eye and sweep up toward the temple. If that doesn't look right the colour you're using might be a bit bright for your complexion. I find if it's sheer and buildable it's easier to get the right effect.

I sweep the colour from the middle if my apple up to almost my hairline at the top of my ear, not quite my temple.

Experiment with colour, coral tones are more flattering on me than pinks for example.

I love the Becca cheek tint which is much more natural than blush.

I’m 47 & flinders our my ‘apples’ are not where I thought they were - last week! That’ll be 30+ years of doing it wrong...(so not the person to advise clearly - but I’ve found Benefit counters are brilliant- as are their blushers..)
