Anyone got cardy UGG's?

Anyone have Classic Cardy or Purl Cardi UGGs?

I can't decide whether to get a pair of these or not. All my boots are black or brown leather/ suede and fancy a bit of a change. Anyone have any feedback on them?

Just want to add that I love a bit of UGG Wink I just can't bring myself to buy a classic chestnut pair and like them a bit different. I am open to other suggestions.

I had some about 10 years ago. They lasted maybe 1.5/2 winters before they where totally wrecked. Where as my other waxed leather uggs are still going strong.

I have grey knitted ones. Been in the washing machine a few times!! Not warm /waterproof. Got black short ones too.

I have grey knitted cardi Uggs. I like them, but wear them mainly as slippers. I find Uggs generally to be quite hard to walk in anyway, so wouldn’t be in them day to day.

I have it's of pairs of uggs. Love them all apart from the cardi ones that feel like them are going to fall off my feet. I feel like I need to tighten my toes and walk in a very odd way. So I don't really wear them.

Thanks for the feedback. Seems they are not really practical nor will last. There is another pair I like which are not Cardy.

I've only had sheepskin ones but a couple of friends had cardigan uggs and they looked tatty immediately. They also do Chelsea boots and other styles that look more like normal boots but are lined with the fur stuff.

Have you got a link for the others you like? Smile

I bought some about 8/9 years ago. They smell bad really quickly, in the same way your cardi would if you didn’t wash it and walked around the street on it.

sycamore54321 · 26/10/2018 21:57

I agree with the other former cardi-wearers. They just don’t work. The sole is heavy, meaning the upper gets quickly misshapen from the weight of it. The loose knit means that they let the breeze through in a very disconcerting way. And they get dirtier and smellier quickly and in a way that is impossible to clean - you can’t even dab a stain off them without bobbling and stretching the knit.

Plus I think I had mine in about 2008 and I’m definitely not a bang-on-trend with-it person. I’d guess that this means they are pretty dated now - it probably hasn’t been long enough for them to come back in.

Having said that, if you adore the look and will never be walking too far or in rough paths in them, then maybe try a pair of non-branded copies for much cheaper? Unlike the sheepskin Uggs, it’s not like you are paying for top quality materials with the knit ones.

notsure, I am not sure Wink about these. What do you think?

These

What I actually wanted was these but the top bit in leopard print. How FAB would that have been. I am in 2 minds about these. I love UGG and have a few other pairs but not like the original classic pair.

By the way just wanted to add that I have picked up some absolute UGG bargains on ebay in the past. I bought a hat, gloves and earmuffs all brand new in a box for around 50% of the price. All unwanted Christmas presents. I have been on there for months trying to get slippers but am always outbid. You rarely get decent new boots on there but the accessories are really great. I get loads of compliments on my hat and gloves.

I like those!

There are some on brand alley for a good price. Lots of fakes on eBay so beware!

I have some light brown ones which came to me after being rejected by DM and DD1. They are brilliant indoor shoes in a draughty old house in the winter. I've never intentially worn them outdoors because they always look a bit "accidentally undressed" and slobby, like tracksuits or those leggings you can see people's knickers through.

I have leather Kensington uggs which are cosy, waterproof and look a bit more 'dressed' than the original ones. I have small feet so bought the kids' boots.
