I have and it went horribly wrong and I had to have it removed which left scarring.

That was a few years ago. Now there is much better make up around. Have you tried a long lasting liner plus liquid lipstick eg Kat von d ?

I've thought about it but have never found anyone who's work I would be happy to have on my face! It does look good but I would be so fussy and inspect it to make sure it was immaculate, like the previous poster said it can go wrong and it would be hard to fix.

I'm not averse to semi-permanent make up at all, I've had my brows microbladed (shit, not dark enough and still have to wear brow makeup) and I have lip fillers (best decision ever for me!) but lip tattooing is just so hard to get right, and then fix if it's not right.

I have never seen semi permanent makeup that hasn't looked bad...Not saying it doesn't exist, just I've never met anyone with it done where it looked nice.

Microbladed brows being the exception to that...my sister has lovely MB brows

I have the opportunity to be a lip tattoo model at a reputable permanent makeup business and I'm at a loss as to whether it's worth it...

Don’t do it just because it’s free. You have to be 100% sure. If you go ahead , go for something extremely subtle in a nude tone. Don’t try to make your lips look bigger by having her tattoo outside them. X

I had this done about 18 months ago by the same woman who does my semi permanent eyebrows. I was really happy with them I had lip blush so the colour blends in rather than a harsh line. The liner is still on a bit now, I wouldn’t risk going to someone who is just starting up or anything, it cost me £395 and I went with Joanna Twyman based in Essex.
