Possibly a thick question, but is it safe to order from HoF these days? I know in September there were a lot of issues with cancelled orders/refunds not appearing. Is this all rectified now?

I want something that the manufacturer's website wants £5 to post, and I am too mean to pay postage on a nearly £300 order. Ideal would be to order from John Lewis, but they aren't stocking it.

Well the website went down completely for about 6 weeks so it has only come back on in the last week or so. Make sure you use a credit card.

I think it would be safe but delivery and returns is not so good now, if you return to store as I used too you only get a gift card back not your money, you have to post back to get money back at your cost

Click and collect and delivery cost £4.99, if you click and collect you get a £5 gift card but it takes a week

I will not be using them now. I used to buy quite a bit online from them as delivery and returns were good and reliable.

Hmmm there's a 50/50 chance I will want to return. Will give it a miss, I think.

It is such a shame, the shop was pretty crap but the online choice was always good and sometimes there were good offers, I frequently used the next day click and collect and returns to store but now I have removed my card details from the website as I don't use it. I bet a lot of people will get caught out with the return to store thing.
