Please help me style these trousers

I fell in love with some black wide leg trousers with a row of diamante down the side but i'm having trouble find a top to go with them. Plain tops don't work, sequins don't look right either. It's for a xmas works party so i want to look dressy.

Can anyone help ?

Depends on your style, I would maybe try a plain black top which you could team with a slightly bling jacket, or Devore, possibly a bit of lace even a bit of lurex with a plain jacket, sparkly heels/bag also think a more fitted top goes better with wide leg trousers.

What about a silk ivory/cream pussybow shirt? I feel it would really set off the bling rather than black on black.

It’s such a shame as I really like the trousers and didn’t realise how hard it would be to find something to go with them.

I’m not giving up

I'd go for a simple black satin top, diamonte earrings, a black fitted jacket, silver sandals and burgundy nails.

Enough idea would be to give it more of a tuxedo look with a crisp white shirt, open collar, big necklace.

I got a really nice silky black cowl neck top from Zara, last week that could work with those trousers possibly.

Thanks all. I hadn’t actually seen the mint velvet top so I’ll try that.

I did buy the top shown on model but it doesn’t look right on me.

A shirt I don’t think would work for the occasion as it’s almost black tie so wanted something a bit dressier.

I’ve put on loads of weight Over the past year so I think some of my frustration is that my normal style doesn’t look as nice as it did.

River island normally have tops very similar to the mint velvet one as well.
