...sleeveless tunic dresses in the winter?

I don't usually wear them (I usually look better with a defined waist) but I bought a thickish teracotta colored one earlier this year and am struggling to know what to do with it now.

Long or short sleeves underneath (in the same colour or a complementary one)? A cardigan - too shapeless? Jumper? Help.

With a silk blouse and flats/loafers.
Wearing tunic dress + boots is a bit obvious/clichéd. Although warm.

With a white rollneck and high boots in black or brown would be very Twiggy.

I would wear a fine knit under it, probably in black. M&S have got new roll and round neck merino jumpers in. If that is too thick a viscose knit which zara often have (easier to find online than in store)

Silk blouse is a good call! Not the sort of thing I'd have considered as I'm usually scruffy. I'll have a mooch around eBay - thank you!

I'm not sure about roll necks - I never think they suit me. But it might be worth a trip to M&S to try one...

Doesnt have to be silk - just a good quality heavy viscose blouse (see h&m or zara) in e.g. navy and flat shoes. Soft wool cardigan on top in e.g. teal or cream. Or cream blouse and navy cardigan. Maybe even belted (on top of the cardigan, unbuttoned) - very eye catching and elegant but not try-hard i think

The rollneck+boots is the way these dresses are always styled in catalogues, with a long chunky necklace. I dont especially like the look and think you have to be very skinny and tall to make it work. And like the sixties!!!
Have fun. New dresses are lovely
