Yeah just curious, what are your favourite makeup products? Staples you love and products you would repurchase.

Make up: Estée Lauder double wear light
Mascara: lancome doll eyes
Lipstick : red, mac ruby woo, Estée Lauder envious, and Bois de rose
Blusher nars orgasm or lancome blush rose paradis
Perfume Alien or Isey miyake or la vie est belle

Chasingdandelions · 21/10/2018 20:14

Great thread! Mascara Max factor 2000 calorie, lancome doll eyes gives the same effect but flakes off easier.
Foundation estee Lauder double wear when my skin is oily or nars sheer glow when it's normal.
Blush makeup revolution £1 ones! Better than Mac and Bobbi brown ones I was using.
Eyebrows Anastasia Beverly hills dipbrow pomade.

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 21/10/2018 21:09

Don’t do anything to my eyebrows,no products
I do brush them into shape with clean mascara brush from a finished mascara
I love knowing what’s in other folk makeup bag, what products they use

Corcra · 21/10/2018 21:14

Happycow · 21/10/2018 21:16

Mascara: max factor 2000 calorie or false lash effect waterproof (black tube)

Base: estee Laura's double wear light. Boots No 7 BB cream for dry skin. Boots No 7 airbrush away primer.

Kerastase bain de force shampoo.

Nivea soft moisturiser.

Think that's everything that I have bought consistently over the years. I have just bought my first pot of like is ultra facial cream - this may very well become a staple too.

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 21/10/2018 21:17

Don’t use concealer, don’t strobe, and no bronzers. It’s all overdone imo
The majority of makeup vids are overdone, and I don’t like the lipliner, strobe thing
I definitely think less is more. From start to finish I can apply make up in 5min

Have a browse at what looks you like, Lisa Eldridge does good vids
Sali hughes always good unbiased reviews
Most brands will offer a free make over & consultation
You can book Estée Lauder online

GeoEm · 23/10/2018 00:08

@LipstickHandbagCoffee Thanks! Yeah I am a big YouTube makeup watcher. I just like to see what 'normal' people also use.
I do probably have a bit too much makeup considering I have a beauty room but I have used up a lot of products since moving so totally justifiable for a few new pieces! 😂

OP posts:
KnitFastDieWarm · 23/10/2018 13:18

Rimmel exaggerate waterproof eye definer in black
Nivea light moisturising day cream
Natural collection powder blush in pink cloud (just as good as benefit dandelion as far as I’m concerned)
Urban decay eye primer
Bare minerals marvelous moxie lipgloss - the best I’ve tried
Bobbi brown longwear eyeshadow sticks (although I’ve recently discovered beauty pie do the same thing for a fraction of the price and they are IMO just as good!)

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 23/10/2018 13:20

A beauty room....tell me more

whiteonesugar · 23/10/2018 14:41

I use Bobbi Brown BB Cream instead of foundation its a lovely finish, not too sheer like some BB creams.

Loreal Million Mascara

Hoola Bronzer by Benefit.

these are the 3 that I always go back to and rebuy over and over again. The rest is interchangable.

Astral moisturiser - if its good enough for Joanna Lumley!

MarthasGinYard · 23/10/2018 14:43

Ysl radiant touch foundation

Benefit hoola

Clinique super balm gloss

Lancôme mascaras

MarthasGinYard · 23/10/2018 14:44

Clinique 7 day scrub

Clarins toner yellow

starkid · 23/10/2018 16:16

Mascara: Maybelline Lash Sensational
Cream Eyeshadows: Maybelline Colour Tattoo (in pink gold & creme de nude)
Powder eyeshadows: MUA eyeshadow pallettes (any and all of them!)
Daytime lipstick: Makeup Revolution Pro lipstick in 'looking ahead'
Tinted lipbalm: Maybelline Babylips in Cherry Me
Under eye concealer: Bourjois Radiance Reveal
Blusher: Bourjois Little Round Pot
Setting powder: Rimmel Stay Matte in transparent.

I'm not very loyal to any of these things, but for now they work for me. Always on the look out for new mascaras and under-eye concealers though, as they are what I need to go outside!

Have yet to find the perfect bb cream, concealer, foundation or eyeliner, so I have loads which I'll likely not repurchase. Don't have much other makeup product types to be honest, or don't use them enough to form much of an opinion anyway
