Brora cashmere: is it worth it?

I get cold and love wearing cashmere. I have in the past bought from both Uniqlo and Brora. Yesterday I nearly bought a cashmere polo neck from Uniqlo but in the end stopped myself because I didn’t love it and the neck felt a tiny bit tight. I am now looking on the Brora website... but the prices!!

By the way, the thickest and softest cashmere I have ever bought was a jumper I found in a charity shop from a Scottish brand called William Lockie...

So what do others think?

I'm hardly a cashmere expert by the Brora cardie I have is v v soft and much better than the Tesco one I have. Then again I have a M&S one and that is lovely too, just not a thick as Brora.
All were second hand though so I don't know how up to date that is.
Sorry, my post isn't actually all that helpful.Blush

I think so. I've bought masses in sales over the years and it's all still perfect.

It’s very good quality and long lasting. Colours can be a bit boring though,

Brora is much thicker, and longer fibres than the cheaper cashmere, which means it bobbles less. Definitely an investment..

Thanks all. I think I will try to save over the next couple of months and treat myself to Brora...

I agree about the colours.

Could you wait till the sales? Brora can have very good reductions.

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 21/10/2018 19:15

Worth keeping an eye on eBay, I’ve bought excellent Brora cashmere there and not been disappointed yet.

Yes, good idea re waiting for sales. I used to have a Brora shop a few minutes from where I live but it closed down. I really do think they would attract new customers if they had more exciting colours and styles...

Brora is lovely but wait for the sales!
