Just wondering what other people's experience with sns nails is vs acrylic? Do they last well?

I tried these as an alternative to my usual shellac. They looked nice and lasted well but I hated the feel of them - they are basically like acrylic I think.

I have them and I love them. I tried the normal gel nails for a while and after a week I’d usually chipped them or some had started peeling off.

With the dipping powder (SNS) my nails feel hard like acrylics (I don’t mind this) and last 3-4 weeks. The soaking off is easier and my natural nails are pretty long now.

The salon I have them done at tell me they are better for your nails than normal gel but that could be rubbish. I think that the removal process does dry my nails out so the SNS are better as I only have it done half as often as when I had the normal gel polish.

Sorry I read your post as opinions on SNS vs shellac. Blush

They certainly look like acrylic. I ended up having them done and they're so thick. I think I got someone who wasn't very good at it. She also cut me which I wasn't too pleased about.
I've never had shellac or gel done before. I've always stuck with acrylics because I'm lazy and don't want to have to maintain them too much.
