Cashmere but not expensive?

Is it possible to buy a cashmere jumper that is good quality and reasonably priced, eg from M&S or a supermarket?
Or is it better to buy more expensive jumpers that will last (wish list items).

I bought one years ago from Tesco ( half price IIRC it was £20/£25)

I washed it like a new born kitten but it still felted (it was washable BTW)

I would save my £20 and invest it in a better quality TBH. The one I had cost-per-wear was not good.

Don't know about M&S but look at Uniqlo, Pure, Woollovers and Brora .

I'm planning a cashmere with my Christmas money Xmas Grin

I just got a cashmere jumper from tkmaxx. I’m aiming to not really wash it. Blush I’m thinking if I wear a long sleeved T-shirt under it then it won’t really need it. I’m thinking I’ll wreck it if I do. It is navy...

Just got a Uniqlo cardigan, it was £80 but there's a £10 off voucher if you register for the newsletter. I expected to send it back but honestly, it's beautiful.

The jumpers are only £70... Do it!

eBay or charity shops can be good

I buy Brora from eBay, I have 3 that ranged in price from £11 - £60, know your sizing for the brand you’re buying and you’re fine

i have a Tahari one from TKMaxx- its done ok, they are back in stock now, £39.99 to £49.99 depending on style.

I managed to get a Uniqlo one for £30 in the middle of August (summer sale). They are normally £70-80. I have several of their cashmere jumpers and don't notice a quality difference between them and my considerably more expensive Boden one.

I had a good oversize plain black one from M&S. But the bastard moth ate it. So also tasty. Apparently.

Pure is reasonable price but not great quality. Sale can be good though and they do fashion colours.

Brora lasts very well.

Pure pilled so badly on the underarm / boob area - I was really disappointed.

marks and spencer and boden are machine washable.

I recently got a brand new M&S black cashmere hoodie from ebay for about £40 and its just wonderful. Ive washed it twice at 30 on a quick wash so far and it washes fine

I dont know how they make them machine washable, but i try to not wash it much even though ive been wearing it loads. Ive had cashmere from other places and they just felt. You barely have to walk past the washing machine and they shrink up

I’ve got a lovely one from Boden I’ve had a few years, but more recently the quality hasn’t been as good when I ordered again. I’ve just bought cashmere from John Lewis this season so I’ll see how it wears. I have one Brora jumper that is lovely (bought in sale).
