Wanting to look groomed and stylish

Just as the title says, I was to look groomed and stylish. I have a wardrobe full of clothes I can’t wear as they don’t fit me, but I’ve started slimming world and and hoping I will be able to start wearing my nice clothes again soon. I’m fed up walking about with baggy jumpers/tee shirts and saggy jeans.

I don’t really know though where I start to look groomed. I have long dark hair which I do love, but, it’s frizzy, I’m not good at styling or drying it, so I always tie it back in a pony tail or a bun/topknot, but the top knot/bun makes me look like Ms Trunchbowl from Matilda, and I can never seem to get it to look nice and stylish no matter how many you tube videos I watch.

I’m always tired but hoping with the change in my diet that will change and I’m hoping to be able to go out walking more (I love walking and could walk for miles).

I’m peri menopausal, but have been told I look younger than I am (I’m 47) and I do have good skin, but I think it lacks radiance.

So does anyone have any tips on how I can look groomed and stylish? I see lots of females walking about looking fabulous, and I would love to look like them.

hair:
try a messy bun. simply put hair into a pony tail, grab the end and wrap round the band holding the pony tail together. wrap another band round this (as you would a pony tail band) and you are done! side plaits are also good.

clothes:
invest in a few staple items. eg:
a tunic which can be paired with jeans. to dress it up you can wear a statement necklace and boots

a casual dress

all the best x

I always feel a bit more polished when eyebrows are neat, eyelashes dyed, hair trimmed, nails neat and either clear, nude or French polished. Scope out three threads mentioned above they are great
