Comfiest knicker style?

memememememememememeem · 17/10/2018 19:27

I've had enough of trying to look sexy, wearing matching knickers I have to constantly re-adjust all day. I keep getting thrush and enough is enough

I'm going to buy some normal, cotton pants (which the dr says helps prevent thrush) - but which style are the most comfortable? Midi, brief, bikini, full, shorts?!

I have no idea. I haven't worn normal cotton pants since I was a preteen.

I just slide round the floor leaving a trail like a slug.

3catsandcounting · 17/10/2018 19:44

I'm just trying to work out what PPs are on about! Hmm

Tragedy · 17/10/2018 19:46

Full briefs, a size bigger thank your trouser size!

memememememememememeem · 17/10/2018 19:46

I've changed my name for this @SamanthaBrique but I assure you there's nothing weird about it, I just want to know which ones I should buy from M&S to stop getting thrush! However, there are so many different names I just have no idea, and I can't afford to throw money away.

Go and buy a pair of each style and see which you prefer.

Cherries101 · 17/10/2018 19:52

Depends on your shape really. If you have a big curvy bottom and wide hips, ironically, fairly low rise and loose fit Midis / shorts tend to feel the best on.

poppy2021 · 17/10/2018 19:52

I like a midi. Not too old ladyish but comfy

derekthe1adyhamster · 17/10/2018 19:56

Full briefs here, but they help keep my tum in!

LuggsaysNotaWomen · 17/10/2018 20:00

Full briefs for my post four c-section tum. Not sure I’d revert back now even if I did manage to get rid of the overhang cos they are soo comfy.

RyvitaBrevis · 17/10/2018 20:09

Go up at least one size in the M&S 100% cotton. They will shrink.

What's comfortable really differs from person to person!

Tumilnaughts · 17/10/2018 20:10

I prefer a bikini or a midi cut- always one size bigger than you wear in trousers.

Handbaghag · 17/10/2018 20:15

eBay do some m and s packs at reduced prices. I bought some big girl pants/Bridgets and wouldn't go back!

grannyscobwebs · 17/10/2018 20:25

In the common sense rule book for what not to talk about on the internet-

. Your OH penis cleaning regime
. Your pre teens puberty issues
.Anything that alludes to your address
.Your gifted child
.What knickers you wear.

Come on ladies, wise up!!!!

Curlypop · 17/10/2018 20:51

Midi a size bigger than usual.

TooMinty · 17/10/2018 20:58

There is something wrong with me because I find thongs comfy. I bought short style ones but they really annoy me. Don't spend too much, maybe try Primark rather than M&S if you are short of cash.

SamanthaBrique · 17/10/2018 22:13

They never will @grannyscobwebs...

grannyscobwebs · 17/10/2018 22:33

@SamanthaBrique
As long as there's a few of us keeping our underwear under wraps aye?

Ladybirdbookworm · 17/10/2018 22:46

Why is the OP getting grief ....??
Why are knickers so taboo

IHaveBrilloHair · 17/10/2018 23:09

Posts about knickers come up all the time on here.

Love the fact that you've chosen to read and join the thread though...😆

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 18/10/2018 07:03

I like these from M&S. Come in loads of colours. Good tummy coverage.
I have tried boy shorts in the past but I have a flat bum so they kept falling down.

SamanthaBrique · 18/10/2018 07:16

Knickers aren't taboo but given the amount of period trolls, piss trolls, school uniform trolls etc who've been on this site, it's natural to be a little suspicious! Apologies if you're genuine OP.

Happycow · 18/10/2018 07:50

@curlywurlytwirly I also prefer the m&s high leg. I have a sizeable arse/wide hips plus a c-section belly... these provide enough stomach coverage while not being massive but still keep my bum warm . I find shorts style don't come up high enough so roll down under my belly nice!

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 18/10/2018 07:53

Full briefs all the way!!
