Eyelash curler recommendations

My eye lash curlers just don't do the job anymore. They are Kevin aucoin ones so were expensive but they are fairly old now so I wonder if that's why they don't seem to do much anymore. They were good when I first bought them but I'd hoped they would last a bit longer given the price.

Any recommendations? I have long eyelashes but they are very straight!

I have super straight lashes And the best I’ve ever tried (which is a lot including Kevyn Aucoin, Shu Uemura, Shiseido and more) are the Surratt ones from Space NK. They are expensive but last way longer than any other and never pinch, I’d highly recommend them!
