Help me style a light blue woolen wrap dress for my wedding

I'm getting married in a month. It's a very simple registry office thing, without guests and without any celebration of any kind.

I'll be 7 months pregnant.

I've bought a light blue woolen DvF wrap dress, but I'm not entirely sure how I want to style it.

The dress looks like this: www.shopbop.com/linda-wrap-dress-diane-von/vp/v=1/845524441959868.htm

I was thinking of wearing simple gold jewellery as my wedding ring is gold. A simple gold necklace, a gold ring and pearl studs.
I have some nude pointy patent heels that I could wear if I can't find anything better, but I'd be interested in other suggestions.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Hello OP and congrats on your wedding and baby! Exciting times!

I think silver shoes would look lovely with that - and a bit special too

Can you wear heels?

one
two
three

KatyMac · 17/10/2018 14:57

I also like these

But they may all be too fancy for you esp if you like nude heels Grin

I absolutely love number two. Love love LOVE!

NC4Now · 17/10/2018 16:34

I love number 2 too!

What’s your hair going to be like? I’d probably want some kind of accessory.

And maybe a cream pashmina for warmth.

The second pair of shoes are really lovely, but I worry that the blue will not be right for the colour of the dress.
I have been looking at similar shoes in other colours, but I just can't settle on anything.
I think I would prefer something more simple.

I have no clue what I'll do with my hair. I usually wear it up in some way, so I will probably try to do some sort of slightly fancier up do than my usual bun, but I haven't got a clue and I recently had a good amount trimmed off, so maybe I'll struggle to do much with it. I have seen something I'd like to do on youtube, so I have ordered some hair tools for it - but I'll have to play around.

The dress is wool and cashmere - and nice and warm, so I don't think I'll need a pashmina.
I have a pastel Hermes silk scarf that is mainly very pale pink, but also has a bit of blue in that I'm considering wearing, but it might just be too warm and too much. It's this one: www.fashionphile.com/hermes-silk-brides-de-gala-en-finesse-scarf-rose-pale-beige-66088

Thanks for your suggestions and links, I really appreciate it all!

BitOutOfPractice They are really nice, but would they work if I'm wearing gold jewellery? I may be overthinking this - the jewellery I was thinking of wearing is dainty.

Do you have a link to where they are sold? I really like the shape of them and the reasonable heel!

Thanks :)

I prefer not to mix silver and gold but I may be old fashioned

KatyMac · 18/10/2018 15:45

There are tonnes of pale blue shoes around

BitOutOfPractice · 18/10/2018 17:24

CurlsLDN · 18/10/2018 18:08

It's a lovely dress! Have you tried sitting down in it though? Does it definitely not gape open over your bump?

RiskIt4Biscuit · 18/10/2018 20:11

BitOutOfPractice They are definitely going on my list - thank you!

Bloomburger Oh those Jimmy Choos are fantastic!

CurlsLDN This wrap dress is more stretchy then the classic DvF jersey dresses. It doesn't gape over the bump - but there is a month to go, so I guess it can still change...
