Reviving a leather jacket

My trusty old leather jacket is looking faded/worn in the usual places and I think it could do with a nourish - doesn't feel supple anymore

I currently have leather couch cleaner (It's rubbish on the couch so can't see it working on the jacket!) and the Balsam for my DMs (which revives those brilliantly)

Is there anything better out there?

I don't have anything helpful to suggest (sorry!) but do have a jacket in similar condition so hopefully someone knowledgeable will be along soon to help us both out..!

Welcome!

I'm hoping for something that makes the greyish bits black again

My DMs go a bit sticky when I use the Balsam so don't want to chance using it and getting transfer on to my clothes

I used this on an old All Saints jacket that was looking very grey. I already had a pot from restoring an old armchair, so no expenditure involved. It worked really well. I did one application because it's meant to be a little distressed, but I may give it one more when I can be bothered . The stuff goes a long way (mine has done 3 X arm chairs and a jacket and still loads left), so if you can find a smaller tub that would be fine.

Saddle soap for nourishing .. any outdoor shop/ tack shop will sell it . Hi for the squishy type rather than the block though .

You need Renapur leather balsam. £12 from Amazon - it’s amazing, rescued my trusty 20 year old biker jacket and it looks like new! Just smoosh it all over and buff in.

Renapur has been mentioned on a blog - good to know it works on something vintage

Saddle soap - didn't think of that either!

Thank you :-)

I slap renapur on everything including my old biker jacket (which is just a very old topshop one) it's brilliant stuff
