Are designer high heels any comfier?

Just wondering if designer high heels are ever worth the money and I might actually be able to last a night in them?
I love a pair of glam high heels with a dress on a night out, but am always desperate to take them off after about an hour. Is it true that proper designer high heels are actually better and comfier?

I've heard that some women get a "Loub job" - fillers injected into their feet to provide extra cushioning!
