Please talk to me about false eyelashes

I've never really done the false eyelashes thing but recognise how lovely they look and can totally complete a look, when done properly.

I would love to have permanent / semi permanent ones however I use oil cleansers and like to swim so are they out for me? I also have been told that they can take your own eyelashes out over time and I dont want that.

So do I need to look at ones I fix on myself daily? If so, what is the best and cheapest way to achieve this look? Maybe not every day but perhaps 3 days a week.

I would like them to not look too fake, so do I need to look for the shorter ones? Which are the easiest to apply and can I get reuseable ones?

I would really appreciate any advise!

Thanks in advance.

Have a look into LVL Lash Lift. It is incredible, they look like falsies. Check out before and after pics. They are easier to look after than extensions as it's a perm for your existing lashes and they darken them a bit too so you don't even need to wear mascara.

Thanks, so you know if there is any long term damage? I can ask at the salon but they will probably say no regardless

I love LVL lashes but my beauty lady has told me that I have to avoid oil with them.

They normally tell you that you need a break between them as they obviously weaken the lash. You need to avoid all products on them really, BUT they wear soo much better than extensions. I had them for a beach holiday and was in and out of the sea and pool, windsurfing and wore suncream on my face and they lasted a good 3 weeks!
