Dry Shampoo - how to use?

I suspect it’s totally obvious but I’m not getting results with my Superdrug own brand can.. do I use it once my roots start looking ‘tired’? Or is a pre-emptive strike better? Also: how much? And how far away from my head do I position the can?
Someone suggested using it before bed so that it absorbs overnight- has anyone tried this?

I would also love recommendations for brands (both cheap and expensive, I don’t mind paying a lot more if it works and to avoid looking like I’m wearing an 18th century wig Blush). Please help!! Smile

Hi OP, I use batiste dry shampoo a few times a week. It smells lovely and really works. I have stupid hair which seems to want washing every other day and gets greasy easily. I usually use it when I see it looking abit lank and starting to get greasy. I apply it at the roots and sort of scrub it into my scalp with my fingers and then comb through. I hold the cam around 15/20cm away from my head. It works wonders for flat hair and soaks up any grease well. I sometimes pat my head a little (as if I’m dusting a carpet?) haha to get any excess blended in so you can’t see it.

Hope that helps!

Definitely use before bed. I also heard that on here and it works. If you use once your hair looks a bit lank it’s not as effective so pre-emptive strike definitely better. I just spray around roots before bed and don’t brush out.
I haven’t tried Superdrug but a lot of recommendations for batiste original, so I just stick with that.

I’d recommend batiste as well but I use the natural one as it doesn’t have a smell to it.

Thank you everyone - I will investigate Batiste and use before bed! If I can get an extra 1-2 days out of my hair it’ll do so much for its condition I think...
