Interview clothes

Please help, my first interview in 30 years and I really do not have a clue what is expected these days. It's for a support worker role so I wouldn't be expected to wear full blazer office type clothes at interview would I?

I live in jeans, have worked from home for years and have gained a few pounds here and there so won't fit into anything in my wardrobe that's suitable especially now it's autumn.

Can't spend too much, available shops in my neck of the woods fairly limited, M&S, Debenhams.

I don't know how I got to feeling so out of touch and pathetic, any guidance and help would be so very much appreciated.

Sainsbury’s has some nice and very reasonably priced smart clothes.

Sorry, pressed post. For your role, if just wear trousers and a nice top. Definitely not a suit.

I'd not thought of Sainsbury's, thanks will nip in and have a look.

Agree with a PP, Sainsbury's have some nice bits. I was looking yesterday as I'm hoping to have an interview this week ( if I get shortlisted!) and as I've been a SAHM for 10+ years I've not had to dress up for ages!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you dontknow I've just found two quite nice tops which I still feel good in so I think I'll buy some slightly more tailored smarter trousers.
Then it's time to ditch the clothes that I've hoarded for years which I'm never going to wear again and start from scratch. I've realised how much utter crap I have. I need this job even more now!
