I'm not a royal follower but just read that her wedding dress was cut to show her scar from surgery for scoliosis during childhood.
Kid thought that was such a positive thing to do.

She has been talking openly about her operation for some time. I agree that it’s a very positive act. I’m sure there are many young people who have scars after dealing with all sorts of challenges and to embrace it and show that she is stronger for it and survived a challenging time in her life, says a lot about her character. I mentioned younger people in that people may feel they should hide scars and be ashamed of them in some way so she is a positive role model about embracing life and it’s circumstances.

Spinal surgery is of course major surgery and must’ve been very frightening for the whole family when she had to have the operation at only 12.

With so many images of fake apparent “perfection” it’s quite radical to deliberately refuse to create a “perfect” image on her wedding day as a royal princess. Jack told her she looked perfect when they met at the top of the aisle today, which she did, but by embracing what must’ve been a very traumatic experience for her. Good for her.

I thought it was very brave and sweet. They both looked so happy I hope they will stay that way.

Wow, what a woman.
A great symbol that all of her is good enough, not just the “ pretty” bits.

I forget where I saw it but I saw a photo earlier today of Eugenie as a child, being supported by her mother as she walked, obviously not that long after her surgery. It must have been a hard thing for a young child to go through and I think it's great that she embraces it and the scar for what it is, which is one of things that has made her into the woman she is today. Good for her.

I think she was like the ugly duckling/ swan today. She looked so beautiful. Her happiness outshone and outclassed the other royal weddings. I am not a lover of the royal family, but I do look upon her differently now.

The both looked so happy. Lovely shot of the back of the dress (if not the scar).
