What beauty things make you feel better every day?

I use perfume every day, a nice pair of earrings makes a difference and I've just splashed out on some better skincare. There was a make up thread on AMA a while ago where the OP recommended botanics radiance balm and that was a great one. I guess I'm looking for other recommendations so that I can buy myself treats!

Revitalash eyelash serum without a doubt. Expensive but it works. And cheaper than paying repeatedly for extensions. Used it for years now and a tube easily lasts me 12 months

Mascara and Benefit Goof Proof eye pencil. You’d have to prise these two things out of my cold dead hands.

Definitely perfume. I am a slob. I own 2 pairs of shoes. I live in jeans.

I have about 200 bottles of perfume Blush

Botox and false lashes

BookMeOnTheSudExpress - I think I am your twin!

Being able to choose a perfume based on the season / time of day / your mood just makes everything better. I’ll never be someone with a ‘signature’ perfume.

Booked to have brows micro bladed. Can't wait 😁
I can't live without my night balm and moisturiser and my day moisturiser.
Also hair protein treatment I do once a week and my Dyson hair dryer.
Had individual lashes a while back and I loved them but they didn't last long. Can't find a mascara that looks as good either.

Toni & Guy smoothing cream. My hair is thick but very fine and a bit wavy so often looks sort of fluffy. This makes is smooth and sleek and smells yum!

Almondio · 14/10/2018 08:46

I use the Superdrug dupe of Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, in the green tube, called Brightening Radiance Balm. It smells the same, does exactly the same as BFB at a fraction of the price. Recent find, will definitely buy again.

OPI gel manicures with a chrome metallic finish. Beautiful microbladed eyebrows, botox to open up my droopy eyes and a retinol toner to keep my skin smooth. Zero effort from me (although considerable expense!) and I can face the world happy.

QuantumGirl · 14/10/2018 09:34

@Bluesheep8 which mascara is it? I can't find it, can you please send me the link? 😊

Nightlights · 14/10/2018 09:35

I desperately want to microblade my eyebrows but am worried about that bit in between getting them done and them healing where you have to go to meetings look like Groucho Marx.

@Almondio I am getting down to Superdrug asap

Filling in my very blonde eyebrows so they are actually visible. And putting on mascara.
I never usually wear makeup around the house but sometimes when I’m feeling a bit depressed I’ll go and sort out my eyebrows and put some mascara on and it does make me feel more in control.

Also recently purchased a CC cream from Kiehls which i am loving. It has SPF 50 in it and even a tiny bit really brightens up my skin and makes me look more healthy and alive.

Notacluewhatthisis · 14/10/2018 09:52

Almondio I am definitely going to try that. Thank you

Gah81 · 14/10/2018 10:17

Forgot to say: getting my eyebrows threaded. At Selfridges, so quite expensive, but only get my hair cut twice a year, don't do manicures/pedicures/massages/salon waxing etc. so this is my one 'treat'ment Grin

mononoaware1907 · 14/10/2018 11:13

I have recently learned and applied (finally) the rule of quality not quantity. Therefore besides my signature perfume (Alien by Thierry Mugler) I only own 3 more (YSL black opium, Isey Miyake pure nectar for spring and La vie est belle)

I wear make up everyday: foundation, eyebrow pencil to fill in a little gap, MAC blusher, face powder and mascara. I still own a few too many lipsticks but I'm soon gonna do a big declutter.

Skincare: avid fan! I try to give my skin the best treament possible. And sunscreen (everyone should wear sunscreen DAILY, all year!)

Also: I own quite a few necklaces and like to wear a different one daily. I invest in coats and shoes, it makes me feel "put together"

mononoaware1907 · 14/10/2018 11:15

Also some basics: clean hair, nice eyebrows and always a manicure
