Low budget best concealers

Getonthatbroomandfly · 12/10/2018 11:18

I'm on a low budget and on the look out for a good concealer. I have spots on my chin and at a wedding next week Sad

Also while I'm here any recommendations for a foundation?

I have combination skin, I want look made up but dewy. No concerns for covering dark eyes etc.

Thanks Smile

I don’t know about concealer but ‘the ordinary’ is super cheap and really dewy!

I’ve used Estée Lauder, Chanel, Armani and all sorts and none has been as good as this! I like to buy two - have one a lighter and one a darker, the lighter being the light serum and the darker being the higher coverage!

Check it out it’s like £6 a bottle xo

Thank you @Absla I'll look for that.

So so you wear them both but blend onto different areas of the face? Contouring?

How low is your budget?
I use benefit 'boing' and its the best concealer I've ever had! and it lasts forever!

OhComeOnRon · 12/10/2018 11:38

Also - I LOVE my foundation - but only wear it occasionally so I go into boots and they colour match and give a litter mini tester bottle and its lasts me ages - its YSL touché éclat - its so light and lovely and a little tests normally lasts me a couple of months!

Absla · 12/10/2018 11:44

Yeah you can sometimes I use THREE different colours! White for under the eyes bridge of nose dark for cheek bones side of nose and then a normal colour for in between! And then blend it all together!

Most of my make up is super cheap 5/7 days I don’t wear make up, and what I would say for your spots is make sure you moisturise people have it in their head that that causes spots but it doesn’t unless you have super oily skin! Try E45 since I stopped using a scrub and went to a peel exfoliator and used e45 for my face my skin has become so so much clearer!

Getonthatbroomandfly · 12/10/2018 12:20

@OhComeOnRon I'm wanting to spend £10 or less. You've totally reminded me about getting into boots for samples. I feel so out of touch, I've always been big on my make up. But now realising I've barely bothered last couple of years.

@Absla peeling exfoliator is brand new to me too. Just googled and think I'm going to pick up some elf stuff. It has good reviews.

Thank you

@Getonthatbroomandfly
Samples are the way forward!!

FloofyDoof · 12/10/2018 14:55

Maybelline fit me concealer is pretty good and under £10.

BusterGonad · 12/10/2018 15:20

I've heard good things about collections brush pen concealer!

Delatron · 12/10/2018 15:36

The boujois radiance one is amazing. Company is same as Chanel so they have good quality products at low prices. I think it’s £7.99.

Mabelface · 12/10/2018 15:39

I love elf. I've got their stick concealer which is pretty good.

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 12/10/2018 15:42

The Revolution Conceal and Define ones in Superdrug are brilliant and only £4. The coverage is excellent. I use it on my under eye circles and it blends really well and doesn't look chalky or glittery.
I also use it on blemishes as I have hyperpigmentation.

Tarriance · 12/10/2018 15:45

I like the NYX HD concealer - it's about £6 in Boots.

Nightlights · 12/10/2018 15:47

Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer. Sali Hughes mentioned it yonks ago and I use it now instead of my old Mac one

fishonabicycle · 12/10/2018 16:00

An orange faced lady in Boots did my under eyes with a No 7 concealer and it looked pretty good.

Seeyounexttue · 12/10/2018 16:03

Sleek liquid concealer is very good - they seem to have a good shade range, and for once the lightest shade is light enough for me!

Seeyounexttue · 12/10/2018 16:04

Just had a look, it's the 'lifeproof' concealer, and about £7

Rayn · 12/10/2018 16:06

Revolution stick for definite! So cheap and so good.

QueenOfTheAndals · 12/10/2018 16:07

Collection Last Perfection. It's better than the Nars concealer I was using previously.

RoseReally · 12/10/2018 16:08

I second the collection 2000 one. Really cheap and I think as good as a Nars one I had.

HeyPesto55 · 12/10/2018 16:09

I love the collections one. Swapped from Clinique. Best one I've had. Was going to try a maybelline foundation that gets rave reviews.

tinyradish · 12/10/2018 22:19

Collection lasting perfection. You won't find better (as long as the skin around your eyes is well moisturised before applying, if you'll use it for eyes- it's quite dry if not.) Will be great for spot coverage though.

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 12/10/2018 22:24

I love the revolution conceal and define. It blends out beautifully and doesn't settle in my.fine lines like other do.

I also like their newer fast base concealer. It comes in a twisty pen thing with a sponge on the end. Less coverage than the conceal and define but still really nice.

Decent shade range too.

Number12 · 12/10/2018 22:39

I can also recommend The Collection concealer, I have the yellow, green and err skin tone! They are fantastic. The yellow under eye one has knocked off at least 5 years!! I also get spots and they do a palette of green, lilac, setting power and concealer. Amazing stuff and so cheap and oftan on a three for two.
