Belt for jeans or do you have them altered?

Morning folks!

So I bought some lovely new jeans a few months ago, but have naturally lost quite a bit of post-partum weight and they’re now too big! It’s the waist that’s the biggest problem and I think a belt would make them bunch around the middle?

Is it possible to have the waist of jeans altered and, if so, does it cost much?

Thanks! 😀

I think it would be difficult to alter the waist. I am a pear and I get a lot of things altered. I often take things to my nearest alterations place and see what they say, if they can't do it they tell me.

Yes. I've had mine altered and it's v possible.
If the 'gap' isn't huge I use a belt. If it's too big, then your friendly alterations person will sort you out. Mine lets me try them on with her and pins them while on me.

Yep, totally possible. Have had 501s altered as am a bit pear-shaped.
