A/W capsule wardrobe help please

I'm trying to put together a smart casual A/W capsule wardrobe for meeting important clients and suppliers. It's normally casual in work but my role is changing slightly so will have to meet people and don't want to look like the spotty teenager in company on work experience.
I've gone through other threads and have
booked a hairdresser for a good haircut and I am going to improve on general grooming.

I'm 5'5'. Size 11. (In between 10-12). No boobs. Pear shape with mum tum that I'm working on and disproportionately large thighs.

I am looking for well fitting /tailored non wrinkle comfortable clothes. All I can seem to find is baggy jumpers and dresses and ill fitting trousers.

I have a decent pair of brown knee boots, smart black suade knee high boots, teal rauched dress and nice long black coat.

Can you help me find some sweaters, trousers/jeans, blouses, ankle boots.
Mid range budget. Don't mind spending if it will last and fits well.

Ooo watching with interest!

If you don't have a large chest to contend with I'm going to suggest fitted polo neck jumpers. Uniqlo is great for this.

Merino jumper

As an alternative to a jumper when office heating is on, I wore these all last autumn/winter.

Thanks @Hammeringinmyhead.
What's Uniglo like for sizing and quality? I've never bought from them before.

I can thoroughly recommend Boden's Richmond trousers. I have now bought a few pairs and for those of us with a big difference in waist/hip measurements (mine is 13 inches) they are superb. I would size down btw. I am usually a 8/10 but the 8 fit me like a glove.

Brown or navy would be classic m.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-workwear-range/trousers-skirts/t0113/womens-richmond-trousers

I'm a 12-14 and usually order a large in tops, mainly for length. You'd probably need a medium as it's a Japanese brand so the sizing isn't huge. The quality is generally very good, especially for the price. There are a few stores about but it depends where you are in the country.

Another vote for the boden Richmond trousers, superb quality.
Boden shirts and sweaters are always worth trying too.
Marks and Spencer autograph range is good for work wear

Those Richmond trousers look great! I am going to try a pair!

There are a lot of really nice, fineknit jumpers around at the moment. Try warehouse, Oliver bonas, whistles, mint velvet. I am a similar size and shape and wear a-line skirts (jigsaw is good for smart ones but ££, I buy on eBay), black tights and a classy fine knit crew neck jumper. Not baggy, fitted with a bit of room on the waist.
Otherwise, boden does a lot of jersey dresses that are flattering for pear shapes. I wear A LOT of jersey dresses for work. They can be smart when paired with the right shoes/jacket.

How do the Boden trousers wash? I have similar cotton trousers from Gap (half the price) which are lovely when new but get washed out a faded quite quickly.

Mark and Spencer’s has some good blouses at the moment. I find that I can get away with the big sleeve look- it balances out my top half.

Why not a nice wool a line skirt? Very flattering on a pear-shape - you can hide thighs and tuck mumtum into it. Good with your boots too. Team with slim top - fine knit or fitted blouse. Have bought nice ones in the past from Jigsaw, saw an interesting cord one in the window of Oasis recently

JDMStyling · 13/10/2018 23:28

Hi, there’s some lovely pieces in Oasis and H & M that I saw today. With your shape, you want to add some extra depth and dimension at the top which you can easily do by wearing tops with frills on the shoulders etc. To build up a capsule, choose your base neutral colour and then ensure you have your wardrobe essentials which are blazers, shorts, skirts, t-shirts. That way you can add in all the fashionable pieces and still have enough outfits to play with. Hope that helps!

Warehouse have some lovely work tops in, also try H&M’s trousers - their sizing is more normal now
