Help, Indian people - draping a dupatta!

I'm going to a Hindu wedding soon and bride asked us to wear traditional Indian dress where possible. I've got a beautiful lengha and the lady in the shop showed me how to drape the dupatta in the Punjabi style. Of course, I can't remember how she did it. It had a beautiful drape at the back and I could cover/uncover my head with it.

I've found lots of ways of draping dupatta online but I have no idea what's Punjabi, in fashion and so on. Could any Indian people guide me to something suitable? TIA :)

@SussexMedley did the dupatta have one corner draped over your shoulder and the other tucked in the skirt? There are aoooo many ways to rock a displays - can you post a picture of your lehenga and I can suggest some ways ?

Yes, it was tucked in at the front and somehow draped over one shoulder. I could have it open over one arm, or pleated to make it narrower.

This isn't my lengha but it's a similar colour and style. www.mirraw.com/designers/fabron/designs/fabron-royal-blue-dori-work-raw-silk-semi-stitched-lehenga-choli-material-with-light-pink-dupatta-lehenga-choli?country_code=GB&utm_source=google&utm_medium=ecpc&utm_campaign=Shopping-Lehengas-UK-PLA-intl&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxvbdBRC0ARIsAKmec9aNAP2TzZEEdASb0ViRCnj4CUxSmPQsFw9bHKSz8zmbkwzzDlyzm9AaAg4TEALw_wcB

There really are so many stunning ways to wear it, I'm a little daunted! Any ideas for what's in style right now, or anything that is a Punjabi style, are greatly appreciated, thank you!

Ooh...I think I've found it! I think it's the first style in this video. The pleating is what I'd forgotten and why I couldn't get that gorgeous back drape I remembered. Is that a Punjabi style?

I'm still very open to any suggestions from the experts though.

Ooh that is a stunning one! I am not a Punjabi but have been to many Punjabi weddings as have many Punjabi friends and I love me a good lehenga! I personally love this style as it’s easy to drape - you can either tuck the other side on your skirt or drape or over your arm.

That's really pretty!

Being Indian, I personally wouldn't drape it over my head as you could be mistaken for the bride! We just wear the dupatta over our shoulder or one end over the shoulder and the other end tucked into the waistband (as in the picture). Have a fab time!

I definitely don't want to do anything inappropriate! Those are beautiful, thank you.
