I bought the £20 a month subscription today. And paid for it. I log in and It said I could buy £250 worth of product.

I added 3 products to bag - well under the £250.

And it wants to charge me £29 plus postage and packing - making it a £49 spend (as I've spent £20 on the subscription)

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG ?!?

Beauty Pue charge members a reduced price for their products, your membership contribution gives you access to the reduced prices. So you’re paying £6 something plus postage instead of £65 for the product in your picture.

Right, I was completely wrong about Beauty Pie.

I thought you got PRODUCTS for £20 a month !

But no, you pay £20 just to be able to buy products at a discount. Is that right???

That's not what I expected. That means today I'm buying a candle, serum, eye cream and it's going to cost me £53 - that's not such a good deal in my opinion

£20 membership
£29 products
£4 postage

That’s right. It doesn’t work out as cheap as they advertise imo, the postage (last time I was a member) was per product even if you ordered multiple products in one order so I ended up paying something like £8-9 for postage! This really bumped the cost up. The base products are LOVELY though.

Thank you.

Bit miffed. I thought it was like those beauty box subscriptions but the difference with this was you chose your products.

I don't spend £50 plus quid a month on stuff - that's fortunes!

I wonder if I can cancel since I haven't 'bought' anything yet apart from the £20 'subscription'

Have you tried the retinol stuff? That's the stuff in my bag

It’s worth checking with them, the last time I was a member they also had a three month minimum subscription HmmShock !! Get in touch and explain you didn’t realise re: their rules, it’s quite clear you haven’t purchased and hopefully they will refund you Smile

YellowLily · 10/10/2018 10:25

I haven’t - I think the retinol stuff is reasonably new and I joined when they were pretty new. I decided although the makeup is nice quality the extra costs etc did not make it any cheaper than the high street so I gave up after the initial 3 months. I’ve heard good things though! Smile

ToftheB · 10/10/2018 13:41

Honestly, I don’t think it’s a cheap option - but I do think the products are very good.

I’ve just signed up for 3 months and I’m going to stock up on a few things and then cancel. It’s a real luxury for me as I’m usually a cheap skate when it comes to makeup and skincare - but I needed to replace a lot of my makeup and I’m justifying it by not spending any money on advent calendars or buying any clothes/other crap whilst I’m a member.

Almahart · 10/10/2018 16:20

Hang on, you pay postage PER ITEM?

I have never heard of that before

ToftheB · 10/10/2018 17:33

Almaheart - not any more. They’ve altered the pricing a little and you now pay one flat rate.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 10/10/2018 17:47

Can you cancel under the distance selling cool off period or similar?
