Gulp. Watching this program has really made me think about the environmental impact of fashion. I thought polyester might be the big issue but cotton is terrible! Charity shops are calling me I think

I think she is brilliant and very brave.

I’m planning to watch on catch up so thanks for the reminder, I know little about modern cotton production so I’ll watch with interest.

It's good but phenomenally one sided.

If you're interested in this stuff you should know about what some elements of the industry is actually doing. She could have covered programmes like Better Cotton Initiative and roadmaptozero. If the consumer knows about them they can ask for them - much like fair trade.

She's right, it's our responsibility to expect more from retailers, but they're not all just sitting there exclusively counting their money.
