Opinion on Hobbs dress

Just seen this in the Hobbs sale, what do you think?

i've got mixed opinions- I personally don't love it and would definitely not wear it or be able to pull it off- but with that said, if you are slim and cool and have a slightly alternative but very modern vibe going on, i think it would work. I can see it looking good on someone with a pixie crop or a blunt cut hairstyle, with some brogues. I think it just needs a (visible) style and personality to be able to pull it off- and i don't think i have one ha!

I really want to like it but for some reason not sure about it. Think if only the light colour were darker then it would be amazing.

It looks like a pale blue cardigan over a navy dress. You'd do well to avoid looking like your nan in it.

I’d look terrible in it but I can imagine my ridiculously cool Korean friend looking amazing in it.

I'm sure there was a thread about someone wearing this dress to a wedding abroad. She found some amazing orange shoes to wear with it...will see if I can find the thread and link.

I don't like the cut

I (quite rightly because I was rude) got told to fuck off on that thread. Probably posted after wine. Feel bad. Poster was only asking for shoe advice.
Still don't like the dress though. Sorry.

So, I just went and looked at that thread about the shoes and, whilst I still don't think it will be my favourite dress ever, on the OP it looked really nice.

As soon as I saw it it reminded me of being a medical student. It looks like a lab coat over a black dress.
